Purple Crocus Planting for the Amersham Rotary Club

A group of Woodside children were invited to plant purple crocus bulbs for the Amersham Rotary Club in the verge on Woodside Road at the entrance to the playing fields. This is part of their campaign to raise money to eradicate polio in other parts of the world.

We are looking forward to seeing the flowers grow and bloom in the spring. The reason the flowers are purple is that a tiny dab of purple is put on each child's finger to show they have been innoculated against the deadly virus.
