Woodside School Curriculum

The aim of our school is to develop children’s understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the world in which they live and their ability to interact with it.

We are committed to fostering the development of our children so that they grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually whilst in our care.

In this school children work at National Curriculum Key Stage 2.

National Curriculum subjects are taught separately in the main and work in all classes is differentiated to meet the needs of children with different abilities.  This includes special programmes for less able pupils and extension work for more able pupils.  A variety of teaching techniques are used within the classroom.

At Woodside Junior School we teach the following subjects:-

In addition, Religious Education, although not included in the National Curriculum, must be provided for all pupils.
