Homework
We set home learning because we believe it provides opportunities for independent study that extends, enriches and consolidates the learning done in the classroom.
Home learning is likely to consist of
- Reading, either aloud with a partner or silently (both if possible)
- Learning and practising multiplication tables and number bonds - for the Cracking Times Tables Challenge
- Learning and practising spellings
- English and Maths each weekend.
- Project Activity may be set occasionally to get the children used to planning their time and researching a piece of work
- Finishing off pieces of work begun in school
