Head Teacher's Letter

Sue HarrettChoosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. The choice of school is very personal to each family and we hope our website will help your decision. You are very welcome to come in to school for an informal chat and a tour around our school.

At Woodside we believe your child’s education is a partnership between home, school and pupil and we encourage you to be fully involved with your child’s learning. We will encourage your active participation in the life of the school through voluntary help, supporting the Woodside Association and in supporting your child with his/her homework and school’s behaviour policy.

Once your child is part of Woodside School, you will be invited to regular parents’ consultation evenings and meetings. However, my staff and I are always available to discuss any aspect of your child’s education and welfare on a daily basis.

I hope your child will enjoy his/her time at this school and will discover and develop a wide range of abilities to the full. This website outlines our aims and policies and will enable you to gain an overall picture of our expectations for your child’s development.

I look forward to working with you and hope you will feel very much part of our school community.
